MISSION AND VISION

LETGSO City hopes to keep this community active for years to come. Providing a wide variety of activities for all ages. I was thinking about what i wanted this organization to look like and i remembered a place called Hero’s Camp in the South Bend area… I had no clue what that place had grown into. I pictured the hot makeshift court in a warehouse, but when i went over and talked to the creator, Pat Magley, I was wow’d to say the least. Facility has 3 full courts, a weight room, cafeteria for 100, commercial kitchen, a barbershop, a state of the art music studio... and it all cost zero dollars to the kids that come in there. Really opened my eyes to the possibilities of what could be in our community. Being able to share my vision and collaborate with people like Ron Gaston, Eric Grifgin, and Jarrod Jones to create a shared vision is the true definition of community. My mom always says it take a community to raise a child and I’ve been quoted before saying i was raise by my community, and i wanna get back to culture where people feel safe to allow that to happen again. LETSGO City is dedicated to creating that ecosystem that helps transition our youth into amazing citizens of communities near and far.

The “DREAM” for LETSGO would be to build a training center for the community. One place that can serve multiple sports (all levels) year around, provide rentable space for various functions, also a refuge for youth to foster their many skills and abilities. Even tho LETSGO City is a organization built around sports, education is always at the forefront for our student-athletes (student always comes first). We have plans to build a full scope sports environment. While many people enjoy playing sports, the youth often don’t realize the employment potential in sports past being the players. We will show how the arts (photography, videography, fashion, music, graphic design, journalism, communications) directly plug into the sport world. Have college interns come home and work as league commissioners, getting intern credit for running leagues and camps, having a chance to work with budgets and keep paperwork. The sky is the limit for the possibilities and opportunities. We will continue to growing, catering to the many interests of our youth and finding people to teach them how to connect their interests into sports and different sectors will help broaden their scope of the possibilities of their dreams.
